Welcome, New Recruits.
We are pleased to welcome Ryan Meakes, Lindsey Hixon and Vernon Hillstrom to our Diamond team. As part of Diamond’s commitment to quality and growth, we welcome them all to our expanding, dedicated customer service department. Ryan, Lindsey and Vernon will bring a wealth of enthusiasm and experience to our already top quality service and we hope they will all be very happy here at Diamond.
Congratulations, Lynne!
With effect from January 2012, Lynne Hughes has been promoted to the position of Operations Director at Diamond Forwarding. In her six years at Diamond Forwarding, Lynne has proved to be an asset to the company and this promotion is richly deserved.
Skydive for Help for Heroes!
Our very own Gemma Collett took to the skies in July in aid of Help for Heroes. She jumped from 10,000 feet to raise money for the charity, which supports members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country.
Gemma raised a stunning £1000 for the charity. We all support and admire her bravery in aid of this good cause, and we’re glad she made it back to Diamond Forwarding safely!
Record-Breaking Rowers
We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Matt Craughwell and his rowing team for their incredible, record-breaking row from Morocco to Barbados. After receiving support and sponsorship from us here at Diamond, Matt had this to say:
“I’d just like to say a big thanks to the freight team at Diamond Forwarding for the part you’ve played in our world record-breaking row. Breaking world records in ocean rowing is about as tough as it gets; 10000 things have to be just perfect and getting an ocean rowing boat to and from the start line is something that is much more difficult than it sounds. However, it’s been one thing that has been taken off my “to do list” by dealing with Diamond Forwarding. See you for the next world record attempt guys!!”
Matt and his team broke two world records: “Most Consecutive Days Rowed Over 100 Miles Per Day” (12 days) and “Quickest Ever Atlantic Crossing From Morroco to Barbados” (33 days, 21 hours, 46 minutes). We are all very proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing which records they can break next.
